Bethelwoods is the camp and conference center of Providence and Charleston Atlantic Presbyteries of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The camp is located in beautiful York, South Carolina (just south of Charlotte, North Carolina). Cabins, covered wagons, several lodges, a tree house, a swimming pool and a lake all rest on approximately 160 acres. The purpose of the Bethelwoods summer camp program is to provide fun, developmentally-appropriate activities for children and youth (K5-12th grade). It is also our goal to offer all campers opportunities to build meaningful relationships with peers, camp counselors and with God through community-oriented fellowship, Bible study, and worship experiences. The summer program has been developed as a progression of camps: from the first-time camper, to a senior high participant in the Leadership Training Program and every step in between. Bethelwoods features day camp and overnight camp experiences with activities like hiking, canoeing, swimming, Bible study, games, arts and crafts, worship, and archery. The summer camp portion of our website features a wealth of information about this ministry and the types of programs that we offer.
Why should I work at Bethelwoods?
Working at a Christian camp is one of the most rewarding experiences a person can have. A summer of service at Bethelwoods will challenge you to grow in your relationship with God and others in a Christian community, develop a wide variety of skills, and allow you the opportunity to learn more about yourself. In your work with the campers, you will understand the needs of youth in residential and day camp settings. You will also gain experience in problem solving and conflict resolution. Through all the joys and challenges found working at camp, you will be supported by your supervisors and fellow staff. Ultimately, it is our hope that all of our summer staff will have the opportunity to grow closer to God, to develop relationships that will last a lifetime, and to have fun!

What type of person is Bethelwoods looking for?
