FEBRUARY 10th
The 2008 Bethelwoods Summer Camp brochures have arrived and are ready to go! This year Bethelwoods is
offering 55 different programs for all ages and interests. You can pick up your camp brochures here at the

FEBRUARY 17th
Are you ready for the summer? It seems like a long way off, but soon you will be trading in that jacket you are
wearing for a swim suit. Online registration is once again available for the Bethelwoods summer camp
program. You can see all the programs that are available and register by making a secure payment with a credit
card. Bethelwoods has many fun and meaningful experiences to offer. Pick up a camp brochure here at church

Come experience Bethelwoods for the first time! The Camp for the Day, Day Camps, Explorer and Mini
Camps are for those who have completed Kindergarten through 3rd grade. These events provide a safe,
meaningful camping experience for those who are a little unsure of what camp is like. Read about these

MARCH 2nd
Are you a Junior High or Senior High who enjoys hiking in the mountains? With the Trailblazers Adventure
Camp offered at Bethelwoods, participants learn about all aspects of hiking and wilderness skills while on a

MARCH 9th
Do you know a college student who is good with kids and is looking for a fun summer experience?
Bethelwoods is always looking for good people in your church community to be summer camp counselors to
help make the summer camp a success. If you know some, please direct them to www.bethelwoods.org where
they can download application packets or have them contact Bethelwoods at 803-366-3722 for more
information.
MARCH 16th
Are you a Junior High or Senior High who likes to stay up late and sleep in until noon? Bethelwoods may have
just what you are looking for...Night Owl Camp! You will eat breakfast at “lunch time,” eat lunch at “dinner
time” and cook out your dinner under the stars each night. Read about exciting programs like this in a

MARCH 23rd
Are you interested in both hiking and canoeing? Bethelwoods offers the Riverwalkers Adventure camp where

th-8th graders experience hiking in the forest, making camp for the night, and exchanging their packs forpaddles the next day for a canoe trip. Brochures are available here at the church or register online at

A great program for a creative son or daughter is the Bethelwoods Music, Art, and Drama Camp for both
elementary and junior high/senior high youth. These camps use their artistic talents to create a show in just

APRIL 20th
Grow as a leader through service and have fun doing it! The Leadership Training Program is specially
designed for youth who have completed 8th-12th grade. The three-step program will give you the opportunity
to work on leadership skills, lead recreation for younger campers, and work behind-the-scenes at camp.

APRIL 27th
Do you enjoy mission work and like to travel? Bethelwoods is now offering Mission Adventure. Campers
will travel to Calvin Center, a camp outside of Atlanta, and take part of various mission projects throughout
the week. They will also spend one night in Calvin Center’s Global village. Read about this exciting program

MAY 4th
Do you love to canoe? Bethelwoods is now offering a unique combination of opportunities with the Paddle
Explorers camp. Campers will learn basic paddling skills, venture out on a day-long trip on the Catawba
River, and then experience whitewater rafting at the US National Whitewater Center. Read about this exciting

MAY 11th
Bethelwoods Camp and Conference Center would like to thank the churches of the presbytery for their
incredible support of the summer camp program. Last summer was an eleven-year high in camper
registrations and we are looking forward to an even bigger program this year. If you have not already
